Sweet Reason Beverage Co. is engaged as a hemp and cannabis beverage company, which has launched three different flavored CBD-infused sparking water products. The beverages are made in the United States and holds a “unique form of CO2-extracted CBD from Colorado organic hemp,” according to Sweet Reason Beverage. The company offers its 12-ounce sparkling water beverages with 7mg of hemp-based CBD and in the following flavors: Grapefruit, Cucumber + Mint, and Strawberry + Lavender. The company was launched in December 2018 and it a women-owned business.

The CBD beverage company announces it has completed its seed funding round with proceeds of $2.5 million. The funding round was led by Lerer Hippeau, a New York-based venture capital firm. Other investment participants included: RiverPark Ventures, Max Ventures, Subverse Capital, and more. New York venture capital firm Lerer Hippeau led the funding round with participation from RiverPark Ventures (Spindrift, Cargo), Max Ventures (Boxed), and Subversive Capital, a premier cannabis investor via Privateer Holdings, alongside a strategic group of angel investors.
